Ermahgerd Kerkerrrrrs!

I love to bake, y'all. Upon reflection, this may be a factor in my weight gain in the past...womp, womp.

Anyway, since I spend half of my life (at least) on Pinterest now (follow my shit!), I have a billion delicious recipes to share. I would like to start by saying that there is no room in my life for sugar free cookies, cake, pie, truffles, candy, etc. if I'm gonna have a treat, it's gonna be the real moderation of course. I WILL NOT get fat again. It's that simple.

So without further ado, I present to you:

Ermahgerd, Cherklert Cherp Kerkers!

(OMG Chocolate Chip Cookies for those of you that don't speak Berks)
(Slightly modified from this recipe)

They blend with the counter. Sweet camouflage so that no one knows they're there! Muahahaha.

Los Ingredientes:

1 cup buttah
1 cup sugah
1/2 cup packed brown sugah
2 eggs
2 teaspoons Mexican vanilla (you can use regular vanilla, but this stuff is DAHLICIOUS and is fairly cheap)
2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 to 1 cup pecan pieces (depending on your nut preference) (heh)

Preheat oven to 375. Mix butter and both sugars in a mixer. (True story: recently I had to make cookies without my KitchenAid stand mixer and it was the worst. How did we even manage before mixers? First world problem.) Once butter and sugars are creamed together, add in eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Add a little at a time to mixer until well mixed. Add in chocolate chips and pecans until blended. Drop it like it's hot (about 2 tablespoons worth per cookie) onto cookie sheets and bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown on the edges. Once you take them out of the over, nom immediately with a cold glass of milk. Mmmmmm. That's the stuff.

These cookies are kind of cake-like, so if you don't like that then reduce the flour to 2 cups and you should be good. I would recommend trying the recipe as-is first, and then adjusting later. These would also be delicious if you used peanut butter chips in addition to the cherklert.

Happy baking!
