Thug Kitchen

It's Monday again. Like a son of a bitch.

Thug Kitchen on TwitterTumblr, Facebook.

You know what's good on avocados? Honey and sea salt. Seriously, shit's DELICIOUS.

I got my 10 11 mile run in on Sunday. What's two more next week? I've had a lot of people email me about running asking how I can run a muhfuckin' half marathon. It takes time and training, it's not like I woke up one day and ran 13 miles. I did C25K to start, back when I couldn't even run for one minute without wanting to die. I started last Septemberish and my first half was in February. Once I finished C25K, I loosely followed Hal Hidgon's training program for the half.

My first half marathon experience was awful because everyone was walking so my time was slow as shit because I couldn't get around them. I'm stoked about definitely PRing on Sunday.

I'm slow. WHAT. I'm short. That's totally why. Totally.

When I run, I listen to music to get in the zone. I can't even understand how people run without it. Here is my playlist. It's long (that's what she said) and alphabetized for your pleasure. I feel so naked sharing my music taste with you. Running is also my time to think about shit. I sort out problems at work or otherwise and think about new blog posts.

I laughed so hard at this one.
"A pickle and ketchup sandwich? Fuck you."

I found Thug Kitchen via Pinterest. I want to print and frame these in my kitchen and offend all of my kid's friend's parents when they come over. Mom of the year, right here.

Side note: I found out yesterday that my friend got us tickets for Maroon 5 in September. Hypothetical question: How would one get Adam Levine alone and possibly naked? (I'm...uh...asking...for a friend...hypothetically...)

It's day 8 of #nerky30ds. How did it go over the weekend? I skipped it yesterday because my hips were super tight from running, but I did do some abs. You know the drill, email me if you want get-up-off-yo-ass daily emails. meg(at)nerkyblog(dot)com.

He's too cool to smile for pictures.

  2. I'm going to go check out Thug Kitchen right now, that is some funny shit. Way to go on the 11 miles! I also have to run with music or I'll set up my ipad on the treadmill and watch some Hulu. I'm still a puss when it comes to running outside. Now that the weather is getting nice, I have no excuse, hills and all.
