Frisky Friday: Landscaping

Bushes. They need maintenance in order to keep in tip-top shape. Nobody wants to look at a big, raggedy bush.

Know what else?

That snake is crawling around in some pretty thick grass.  You wouldn't want the snake to get lost in it. Better give it a little trim. Just a little. Some grass is encouraged.

You don't have to go all Edward Scissorhands with it, but maybe just a little yard work isn't a bad idea. For everybody. Keep it fresh.

I think hedge preference comes into play a lot here, and that's fine because people are allowed to like different things ('Merica!), however I think the general consensus on shrubbery is that it is well-maintained, no matter the amount of thicket you desire.

Some people might go a little festive with it too, and that can be fun for the right occasion.

And some people might just trim it all and be content with no shrubbery whatsoever. Hey, it's your canvas. As long as your regular visitors enjoys the view, what does it matter, really?

  4. Just when I thought your meme/photo selection skills were capped, you managed to find a bunch of cock-and-ball shaped shrubs. Well played, Meg. Well played. You never cease to amaze.
