What I do at lunch

I accidentally lost three pounds as of Sunday and I'm sitting pretty at 136. Doesn't it just PISS YOU OFF when someone who isn't trying to lose weight loses weight? Yeah, that used to piss me off, too. Then I got over it and made it happen for myself. (Real talk.)

But how did you do it? I swear, I get asked this question more than any other, as if it's some big secret. Nobody wants to hear "I cleaned up my diet and I exercise 6 days a week", but that's the magic answer. It's difficult and it doesn't happen over night, but one day you'll be in Target with your size 6's and/or smalls in the fitting room and they'll be too big, and it will be a total inconvenience to have to put back all of your shit and pick up size 4's and extra smalls. The BEST kind of inconvenience possible.

I alternate leg and arm day each day of the week at lunch, and I do abs errrday, son. Here are my workouts from this week:

I really want to be able to do a pull-up, y'all.
Just one.

My burpees get a little sloppy on the 3rd time around.
Not gonna lie.

Well, every weekday.

And then cardio. I run, bike or play soccer 4x/week. Yep, that means I workout twice some days because I don't have enough time at lunch. GET IT GURL.

And you torture yourself in this manner over your lunch break (or whenever works for your schedule), so that you can eat noms like this and not gain weight:

Behold: The Adult Grilled Cheese.
AKA Mouthgasm.

Sourdough bread
Colby Jack cheese, shredded
Fresh spinach
Avocado, sliced
Bacon, cooked

Butter one side of each piece of bread, then layer all other ingredients with cheese inbetween to make it all stick together like the pages of a teenage boy's Sports Illustrated magazine.

Cook until crispy on a panini press or George Forman grill and slice into triangles because it looks nicer.

  1. Totally diggin' the adult grilled cheese.

  2. "make it all stick together like the pages of a teenage boy's Sports Illustrated magazine."

    Good form, Nerk. Good form.

Solid routines for sure. My only advice would be to switch it up. I think the perfect workout is one that changes. No matter how good your workout is, your body will adjust and it'll stop producing results. That's something I struggle with big time because it's hard to branch out. But every month I try to totally switch up the exercises I do. It's hard though (twss).

  3. I will definitely have to try that ab workout!

  4. Hey! Me and Peyton have been starting this now (: I'm one of her best friends, Taylor. I met you at the Halloween Party. Thanks for the workout, we're seeing some weight loss already.

  5. People have asked me the same question about how I lost 50+ pounds after college, and I just wanted to smack them upside the head. I worked hard, duh. No secret.

That adult grilled cheese looks like it belongs in my belly.
